School Curriculum and Syllabus
Every school tries to retain its own marketing identity, and part of its appeal to prospective pupils will be the program or curriculum that is delivered. There are a variety of programs operating in schools, some with Christian content and others using textbooks that have been published by the home franchise company. New varieties of curriculum and textbooks are starting everyday.

In some of the adult learning establishments, a form of student assessment is used to grade the teacher's delivery and impact on the learning. This can lead to a pressure to perform, which is not always a bad thing as some teachers have been known to 'slacken' during program delivery or to party too much and not be alert when teaching.

Regardless of the schedule, the school will provide you with a ?basic? curriculum you can follow, as well as showing you supplementary materials to use. Do not expect the curriculum to be anything like what you have seen in your home country and be prepared for a total mix and match of textbooks, some may be even photocopied from another school! The most important thing is that no matter what age level you teach, you present the English language in an enjoyable, interesting way to your students, and that you conduct yourself with a sense of pride and professionalism and have a genuine interest in your student's needs.
