Chaos in the Classroom
|
There will certainly be times you feel it is all too much for you. The reality is you are most likely not a trained teacher with the knowledge of suitable management techniques and even if you were the language barrier often makes it impossible to negotiate a solution with students most of the time.
If you are going to Korea through our program we will provide you with resource books and advice on all aspects of coping with classroom chaos, and be prepared to keep helping you with useful advice for the full 12 months.
Remember the key staff of World English Service Ltd are very experienced in teaching and education matters. The owner of World English, Marilyn Innes spent 25 years as a teacher and principal in state schools in New Zealand as well as one year teaching mostly kindergarten students in Korea. She has also worked with the Otago University as a teacher trainer/tutor for students undertaking a Bachelor of Teaching and Education degree. Also Program officer Lea Mc farlane is a trained teacher in NZ as well as having considerable experience teaching in Japan and Korea.
They certainly can show some empathy to your plight as we have been there and done that! It is a great advantage to deal with a company that is not only experienced and professional in the procedures of employment but also has staff who have the educational skills and professional ability to relate to teaching in Korea.
